October 24 was a great night for our Big Sound II: Big Benefit - One Concert! Many people came out to hear three amazing Calgary bands - Constant Season, Calm Asa Coma and Stoning Mary rock the stage at SAITSA’s Gateway Restaurant and Bar. Little Brother Logan and his Big Brother Chris were the winners of our “Why I want to be a Rock Star” contest. The pair spent the day with Constant Season hanging out, taking part in the sound check and Logan even got up on stage to play a few songs with the band. Logan left the fun-filled day with his arms full of goodies, including a brand new acoustic guitar!

The concert raised more than $1,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area. Several of the guests expressed interest in becoming mentors throughout the evening and many volunteer applications were received in the days following the concert. We extend a special thank you to the SAITSA’s Gateway Restaurant and Bar for donating the venue and sound equipment and to the staff for helping to keep things running smoothly! Thank you to our sponsor X92.9. A BIG thank you to the bands who all donated their time and talents to make the evening a great success!
