Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area is a donor supported,
volunteer-driven organization recognized for our mentoring programs for
children and youth in schools and communities throughout Calgary, Airdrie,
Chestermere, Cochrane, High River, Okotoks, Rocky View County and surrounding
areas
Children and youth
who spend time with a mentor gain confidence, acquire new skills and
develop better peer relationships. Mentors experience a sense of
discovery and enjoyment as they see the world of possibility open up
through a young person's eyes.
The following programs are currently available in High River:
In-School Mentoring
Start
something. Spend one to one time with a student 6 to 12 years old. Meet at a
school near your work or home during the school day. Connect with your Little
and share your love of learning through fun on-site activities.

Between Generations
Bridge the
generations. Connect with other mentors. Mentors 50 years and over are matched
with one or two students at their elementary school during the school day.
Build a relationship, meet new people, enhance your Little’s social skills and have
fun.
