Making a difference is easier than you might think.  All you need is a few hours a week to spend time with a young person.

At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area we offer a variety of diverse mentoring programs in schools and the community for children and youth 6 to 18 years of age. Our programs match volunteers with young people based on their shared interests, availability and flexibility.

If you answer "YES" to any of the questions below we think you will make a great mentor!

  • Like to eat pizza and/or ice cream
  • Know a few silly jokes
  • Able to laugh your head off
  • Like to watch movies
  • Know great spots to hike, bike or rollerblade
  • Think half the fun of going to a football game is to eat the hotdogs

Mentorship positively impacts the lives of children and youth by improving their self-esteem, relationships with others, value of education and hope for the future. We currently have young people and entire schools who are waiting for mentors.
